With a potent mix of perilous maze runs, stimulating quizzes, and a gripping narrative that underscores the urgency of sustainable living, this quest to save Willowdale from the brink of environmental disaster promises to captivate, educate, and inspire.

Join our team

We're looking for passionate individuals in the following roles:

Programmer

Bring our game to life by developing and maintaining the programming scripts. Proficiency in Unity and C# is required.

Artist (visual/sound)

Visual: Create the game’s visual world, including characters, objects, and backgrounds. A knack for pixel art is required.

Sound: Compose the game’s music and sound effects, creating an immersive experience. Familiarity with composition, DAW, mixing, or sound effects is required.

Tester

Keep the game experience smooth by identifying bugs and improving user experience. Experience in programming is desirable.

Marketing

Be the voice of CircuTale, promoting the game through social media and reaching out to schools and our target market. Experience in communication, digital arts, marketing, and visual design is desirable.

Audio Director

Siena McKenzie-Smith

Siena is a multi-talented artist based in New Zealand, with a passion for creating and composing music. Trained in jazz, she is a skilled multi-instrumentalist and has a keen ear for audio design.

Apart from music, Siena is also passionate about other forms of art, such as painting, and loves to express herself through different creative mediums. She is an avid surfer and traveler, always seeking new experiences and inspiration for her work. Siena wants to preserve the beautiful places in the world and joined circulab to help educate future generations in the best way she knows how, through music!

Lead Designer

Shanying Liu

Ying is an arts and computer science student passionate about visual communication and both graphic and algorithmic design, having received national recognition for competitive programming and a top in the world award in art and design.

Ying has a keen interest in games and other digital media, as well as ways in which students may combat the climate crisis. In combining these pursuits, Ying believes strongly in the effectiveness of promoting awareness about social and climate issues through technology and applied arts.

Lead Programmer

Aashaya Anand

Aashaya is a game dev, calculus fan, writer, and classical ballet dancer from India. She is particularly passionate about interactive learning using various media to deliver socially relevant education. She’s also a purposeful academic, having conducted significant amounts of recognized research in genetics and data science.

Additionally, she is an avid article writer and essayist. She enjoys writing periodically for literary magazines and is an active participant in the writing community. Aashaya is enthusiastic about the philosophy that learning should be engaging and playful, and she channels that enthusiasm into CircuTale.
